IO Interactive, long time developer of the popular Hitman series, announced a new James Bond game entitled First Light 007. No further details were disclosed except for a YouTube link to an upcoming IO Interactive Showcase this Friday, June 6 at 6PM PDT (June 7 9AM Manila Standard Time).
In November 2020 IO Interactive released a teaser with a working title Project 007 in YouTube followed by a tweet from the official James Bond account in X (formerly Twitter).
IO Interactive is a Danish video game development company, known for its highly-acclaimed third-person shooters such as theHitman series, Kane & Lynch, and Freedom Fighters. Their expertise in developing these games should lend itself well to a James Bond game, integrating stealth, careful planning and the slam-bang action 007 is known for.
With this put into perspective, will this mean we will be able to play as a ‘hitman’ but with a full head of hair? Stay tuned for more updates!
